St. Patricks Day Party For Toddlers

Last Friday, Jayden and I hosted our second party/themed playdate of the year (our first was last month). This months theme was "Lucky Tots, Chase the Rainbow" in honor of St. Patricks Day. We had a few more tots this time around, which felt like twenty more in a small NYC apartment, but everyone seemed to have a blast, despite the crowd, which is all that matters.  The photos were few and far between, as I spent way too much time huddled up in the kitchen making fancy lattés...next time I'm making a pot of coffee ahead of time, like a normal person and calling it a day. We had two crafts... both that were NOT messy and proved to be great for the extra guest that we had. I'll be sharing more details on the crafts tomorrow morning, so get your paint ready!  I also did a few DIY projects for this party.... like photo backdrop and props (which we didn't use), the disposable coffee cups with red mustaches, and the bow ties for the gents and hair bows for the ladies made out of felt.

As for the menu, since we host our parties in the morning, before nap time, we like to provide light snacks.  We had a "rainbow" of fruit (thanks, pinterest), spinach/ham/parmesan/chives mini frittatas adapted from this recipe and green (avocado, mango, coconut milk) smoothies.

So come, chase the rainbow with us and check out a few of the details below....

If you have any questions about where I got anything you see, just let me know in the comment section below. Happy (early) St. Patrick's Day! On a side note, my mom is actually Irish, so I've always loved the holiday and can't wait to visit Ireland one day! Hopefully this post has encouraged you to step outside celebrating the holiday in your local pub and to get your little tots involved instead.
