NYC Summer | Central Park with J Crew
I can't believe this weekend is the unofficial end to summer. Wow, that went by fast! Summers in NYC (as hot + humid as they may be) are the best! With this being my tenth summer living in NYC, I would consider myself somewhat of an expert, but with that said, no matter how long you live in the city, there is always something new to do/explore. The perks of NYC in the summer is that most things are free or relatively inexpensive.
A few months ago, we took Jayden to Central Park after church. We spent a lovely afternoon, walking the park, visiting the famous Hans Christine Anderson + Alice in Wonderland statues. We also stopped at the check out the model sailboats at the Conservatory Water pond. The sailboats were one of my husbands favorites childhood memories with his own father, making it extra special to see him there now with our son.

After the park, we headed to the Met...but I'll save that adventure for another post. As for what I'm wearing, this J Crew dress (on sale) was perfect for a hot summer day in Manhattan. Sundresses are a great way to feel pulled together but also be comfortable... plus, did I mention, this dress has pockets. My hat, sunglasses + sandals are sadly all sold out, but I linked to a few similar options below.
The unofficial end to summer may be here, but by the looks of the 10 day forecast, I don't think summer is going anywhere, anytime soon. Keeping that in mind, I plan to make the best of these final moments. We'll be staying local for the holiday weekend + I can't wait to explore my city!
