DIY | Christmas Tree Ornament
This DIY post started with good intentions. My plan was to have this post up last Thursday, so that those of you who may want to try out this super easy DIY, could do so last weekend. However, while I prepped this post prior to leaving for Puerto Rico, I hadn't uploaded it yet + with the spotty internet, plus all the fun we were having, this little guy didn't make the cut, until now.
I know, I know... Christmas is tomorrow, shouldn't all the trees be decorated? While this is true, I also know there is at least one person (if not many more) that are still decorating their trees as we speak (my mom was finishing up our tree last night as I slept on the blow up mattress at her feet). I also know that some families actually decorate their trees on Christmas Eve as a tradition. So I thought, what the heck, "better late than never" + at the very least, you can bookmark this DIY for next year, which if that's the case, then I'm way ahead of the game. And if you happen to be lucky enough to be done with all your Christmas wrapping + have a little ribbon left over, then you're in luck, this DIY is for you!
What you'll need:
1-Styrofoam ball
Ribbon (with the wire edges)
5-6 Straight Pens
2" glitter ribbon
Start by pinning the edge of the ribbon onto the styrofoam ball; wrap ribbon fulling around the circumference.
Once your ribbon is back at the beginning, fold diagonally + wrap around the circumference of the ball again.
Continue doing the same, wrapping around the ball, coming back to the starting point...
...by folding + wrapping, until the entire ball is covered.
Once you come to the end + the entire ball is covered, you want to cut the ribbon + pin down the edges, using 3-4 straight pins.
Now, fold you small glitter ribbon in half + pin the two edges to the top of the ball.
Now you're ready to add your ornament hook + hang this baby on your tree!
Merry Christmas Eve!
