Can you believe Christmas is only one week away... Seriously, where does the time go?  It feels like it was just yesterday that I was celebrating the New Year in Puerto Rico, (which is where I'm headed now) but then it dawned on me, that wasn't even this last New Years that we spent in PR, that was actually TWO years ago! I haven't been to PR in almost two years and it seriously feels like I went yesterday.  I'm excited to spend some time in the sun, on the beach, + most importantly, napping in a hammock... not so Holiday-esq, I know - but everything now + then you need to hit a reset button and with my new job on the horizon, this is the perfect time to do so.

With that said, I'm pretty excited for the things I have in store for you over the next week.  I have some great holiday looks liked up and a nothing DIY after this one, but a few more festive post, so make sure you tune in daily for some holiday cheer.

For todays DIY, I'm sharing a quick + easy holiday decor item, that I have been crafting up for years (the red tree pictured below was mad over 5 years ago).  In addition to Christmas Trees, this DIY would work with any styrofoam shape, wreaths another one of my favorites.

For this DIY, you will need 1 small (3 7/8" x 8 7/8") styrofoam tree and approx.13  of these craft berries (seen above) - you can choose to do all one color, or mix+match.

You want to cut off all the berries + if yours going to do separate colors, like the stripes I show here, separate your colors to make the process go faster.

Now its time to start placing your berries on the tree. Do one row at a time, all the way around, firmly pressing the steam of the berry into the tree.

Continue until you reach the top, completing one row before moving to the next.  As you're moving up, you may need to re-secure the berries, by cupping you hands around and pushing them all in.  If one falls out, no big deal, just reattach + you're all set.

And there you have it, a simple (an inexpensive) holiday decor item. In totally this DIY holiday decor, cost under $10 (all thought everything was super sale at Michael's) + only took me about 30 min to make, from start to finish.
